I have a preppy side to me.

At the beginning of every school year, my mom and I would pick out a new pair of Cole Haan loafers.  Those shoes paired with a striped button polo and rolled up jeans became my 80s and early 90s uniform.  While I’m no longer wearing the loafers, I’m certainly still wearing the stripes with my outfits.

This cardigan from  J.McLaughlin has that preppy vibe without being too retro.  I’ve styled it here with jeans, but when the warmer temperatures arrive I’ll trade the pants for cutoffs.  Since today will be in the 80s maybe I’ll just skip to shorts.  Sorry New York, sometimes being farther south in Oklahoma has its perks.  Except for the tornadoes…
